Lots of room for imagination here! Maybe a family finds the letter and keys in Grandma’s old trunk, but the letter isn’t from Grandpa….
or on a happier note, a groom-to-be proposes to his girlfriend with a note that says she holds the key to his heart….
Your idea to start a romance with an object reminds me of the story “The Mask” in the Ohio Trail Mix anthology 🙂
