We’re over half way through November. How is your NaNoWriMo going? Having any trouble with settings? As I write my YA mystery, I seem to have a lot of scenes of people discussing the case while eating. I need to change some of those scenes to give my writing more variety.
If you notice that you are using the same kind of setting over and over, see if these photos can act as prompts for your NaNoWriMo challenge.
I like your idea of using pictures for inspiration. I’m glad a lot of free pictures are available for use on the web. I live near a nature trail, and over the years, took a lot of pictures. Some have a dark background to them, and some, especially those taken near the creek, have a bit of a “misty”, somewhat mysterious, quality to them. I’m sure those would serve as inspiration for a mystery–when I take the time to write it! 🙂
Although I love photos full of blue skies and sunshine, dark, moody or mysterious ones seem to inspire me more.
