Write a Haiku for Spring

It’s been a few years since I had a prompt to write a haiku for spring. The poem below is revised from one I wrote seven years ago.

In spring, the sky cries.

Out of anger? Sorrow? Joy?

The earth sends flowers.

  1. I like the parallel of sending flowers! Here’s my attempt:

    Birds write their new songs,
White and gray give way to green,
    And I clean up mud.
