A Storm of Doubts Available Today!

Finally, A Storm of Doubts is available today! Readers can finally get their hands on the latest mystery in the Rae Riley series. I can’t wait for you to return to Marlin County and catch up with Rae, Mal, and their family and friends as a mystery sweeps them into a storm of doubts.

Blurb for Storm

Her dad said nothing could changer their relationship. But what if he wasn’t her dad?

Summer gets off to a rocky start for twenty-year-old Rae Riley when the ex-wife of family friend Jason Carlisle claims their youngest child isn’t his and Rae’s con man uncle Troy returns to Marlin County, Ohio. Rae is already at odds with her father, Sheriff Walter “Mal” Malinowski, over her desire to help people in trouble. When she extends that help to Uncle Troy and Jason’s ex-wife, she and Mal clash even more.

Then the ex-wife disappears, and Jason and his brother Rick are two of the main suspects. As Rae and her Aunt Carrie, a private investigator hired to protect Jason’s kids, work to discover what really happened, Rae wrestles with Troy’s insinuations that she may be calling the wrong Malinowski “Dad.”

Two author friends very kindly provided endorsements for my novel. Laurie’s short story, “Return to Callidora”, is a Christmas fantasy that appears in the same anthology, Christmas fiction off the beaten path, as Rae’s first mystery, “A Rose from the Ashes.” Thank you, ladies!

Jennifer Hallmark, author of Jessie’s Hope and Smoking Flax

“I love YA books and equally enjoy a good mystery. Allen combines both with just the right amount of suspense, whodunnit, and relationships. Rae and her father are still figuring each other out, while Rae is learning to be part of a family. The relational struggles are real and tug at one’s heart. Allen’s settings are described so colorfully I felt I moved alongside the characters. The suspense, especially toward the end, had me reading until late at night. I believe A Storm of Doubts is even better than the first in the series. Don’t miss any of JPC Allen’s books…”

Laurie Lucking, author Common and Traitor

“JPC Allen has done it again, with an immersive writing style that makes readers feel like they’ve seen Marlin County in person! I was swept back into Rae’s world from page one, eager to revisit her library, supportive friends, and eclectic family. The new mystery was complex and multi-layered, forcing our amateur sleuth to grow in faith, trust, and resilience as she faced her doubts head-on. Fans of Rae Riley’s previous adventures won’t want to miss this new installment!”

Just the other day I realized that I’ve written enough in the series that readers might like to know what the chronological order is because it’s not the same as the publication order. Click here and you’ll find the list.

If You Do Buy A Storm of Doubts

… please consider leaving an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads, or at any online book retailer. And recommend it to a friend. Personal recommendations of a book are the best!
