The photo caught my attention because it looks like a still from a classic film noir, a style of movie I love. Who is the woman? Who is the man behind her? Or is it a man? Is the story set in the 1940’s? Could it take place now? How would you use this photo to inspire a story?

The old MS is off to some readers again, and I’m trying to find focus to get the new one out of my head still! I’m considering Nanowrimo for a kick in the writerly pants… we’ll see 😉 How’s yours going?
I have mine out to agents and am waiting for a reply. I’ve gotten some very encouraging feedback from another agent. Someone wrote that November is a terrible month for NaNoWriMo because of Thanksgiving. I think they should move it to March. March needs something interesting to happen in it.
